Join Rosecrance Flower Day at Gensler Gardens and help make a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.
This annual event is held in Rockford, Illinois, on the Thursday before Mother’s Day, which is the perfect time to get quality plants and flowers and prepare gardens for the summer season. This year, the event will occur on Thursday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at both Gensler Gardens locations: 8631 11th Street, New Milford, and 102 Orth Road, Loves Park.
Flower Day has a rich history that dates to the former Rosecrance adolescent treatment campus on Alpine Road. The event started with a small flower sale in the campus’s parking lot, which eventually moved to the larger parking lot of the Edgebrook shopping center.
Over the years, Flower Day has become a cherished community event, and Gensler Gardens has played a significant role in its success. The family-owned business has been sponsoring the event generously for many years, making the day an unforgettable experience for all. Moreover, the family’s commitment to giving back to the community is commendable. Gensler Gardens donates a portion of the day’s proceeds to Rosecrance, contributing to the betterment of the community.
Gensler Gardens is well-known for its healthy and lush hanging baskets, traditionally given as Mother’s Day gifts. The nursery also offers a wide selection of annuals and perennials.
